Juvderm dermal fillers are smooth, crystal-clear gels product formulated with Hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a pivotal building block of our skin and a naturally occurring substance already found in our bodies. Prior to treatment, you will have a consultation with your injector to discuss your goals, expectations, and determine which dermal filler products will be right for you. Juvederm injections are done in-office and take less than an hour. When you arrive for your appointment, photos will be taken and a topical numbing cream will be applied. Most HA fillers are infused with lidocaine to help minimize discomfort during and after treatment, and the topical numbing agent and icing helps to make the treatment more comfortable.
Your injector will slowly inject the Juvederm product to the specific areas of the face using a microcannula. Results are immediate and will improve in the next two weeks as you heal.
Your injector will apply ice immediately after your injections to minimize bruising. Since everyone heals differently, your recovery will depend on you. You may experience swelling, slight redness, tenderness and bruising as with any injectable treatment, this typically only lasts 3-5 days.
