Before your treatment, you’ll have a comprehensive consultation with your injector to discuss your goals and expectations. Together, you’ll determine whether Botox, Newtox, Dysport, or a combination of both is the best option for you. We’ll also go over pre-treatment preparations, what to avoid beforehand, and what to expect after your neurotoxin treatment.

Botox, Newtox and Dysport injections are performed in-office, with the entire appointment lasting about 30 minutes. The actual injection process typically takes only 15 minutes. When you arrive, we’ll take photos and review your cosmetic goals to ensure we achieve the best results. Your injector will carefully assess the areas to be treated and discuss the amount of product needed for each area. Using extremely fine needles, we aim to maximize patient comfort. Although you may feel a slight pinch with each injection, our skilled injectors ensure the treatment is as comfortable and painless as possible.

After your neurotoxin treatment, you may experience some common side effects such as swelling, slight redness, tenderness, and bruising. These typically last from a few hours to a few days. Since everyone heals differently, your recovery time may vary.

To minimize bruising and swelling:

  • Avoid heat, strenuous exercise, and alcohol for 24 hours.
  • Do not massage or rub the treated area for 48 hours.
  • Avoid lying down immediately after treatment.

We recommend waiting two weeks before undergoing any other cosmetic treatments in the same area.

Potential Side Effects and Precautions: During clinical trials, patients reported tenderness, swelling, headaches, and bruising at the injection site, which usually resolve within two weeks. Although rare, serious risks such as infection, blood vessel damage, eye problems, or drooping can occur. You should avoid neurotoxin treatments if you have had an allergic reaction to Botox, Newtox, Dysport, or any of their ingredients. Always inform your injector of any allergies or previous adverse reactions to ensure your safety.

Each wrinkle relaxer works on a different timeline. Botox typically begins to take effect about a week after treatment, with full results visible after two weeks. Dysport and Newtox, on the other hand, have shown reports of earlier results.

Individual metabolism can affect how long these neurotoxins last, but Botox, Newtox, and Dysport generally provide results that last between 3 to 4 months. We recommend follow up treatments every 90 days for optimal results.
